There are Saxophone players and then there are…well real men who play everything and that’s Don Markese.
We can’t begin to tell you how fortunate we are to have Don on our side. Since Don plays every woodwind known to man and for every reed we make, he is an absolutely indispensable asset to our team.
Don constantly keeps us on our toes and always helps us make sure that the performance capabilities and quality of FIBRACELL reeds are where they need to be.

My name is Marty Ward, and I’m the Director of Artist Relations at the MIRI Corporation, and I’m probably like 80 to 90% of our FIBRACELL reed players worldwide.
We play quite a lot and reasonably well or even great, but we’re not top studio pros or touring nationally with the top acts out on the road.
That’s cool, we’ve chosen another path in life, but we still need a reed that gives us all the playing and performance qualities of the best cane reed available. Still, we don’t need or want all the hassle with cane reeds, and that, my friends, is where FIBRACELL comes in!
